Ingredients
- 4 wheat tortillas
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1-2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (adjust to taste)
- A pinch of salt (optional)
- Oil for frying (vegetable or rapeseed)
Method
- In a bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.
- Cut the wheat tortillas into triangles or strips, depending on the shape you prefer for your chips.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the tortilla triangles in batches for about 1-2 minutes per side, until golden and crisp. Remove and drain on kitchen paper to get rid of excess oil.
- While the chips are still hot, sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over them, making sure they are well coated.
- Leave to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them on their own or with a chocolate or caramel sauce.
